"Skyler" was awarded site reserve champion at inspection with 7.5%. Stunning black with 2 rear white socks. Cross ties well and enjoying grooming, he is following the lead of his older brothers and taking well to turnout with the big kids! His Dam is a successful jumper/event pony that stamps substance and confidence on her babies. Skyler has a cheerful personality with willingness to do just about anything you ask.

Update Spring 2011

Skyler has officially entered kindergarten and has really stepped up to the plate. He has been getting lunged in tack, bridled and accepting side reins. His trot is developing great and he has the ability to shorten and lengthen stride from voice aids. His canter is still a bit flat but he willingly goes on command and will stay in canter long enough to work on rhythm. We have begun long lining and at the rate he is learning we should be backing him soon.

Update Fall 2011

Skyler has been working under saddle since the end of July. What a great guy, so cooperative and having fun with it. Twice as nice as his full sister "Ippy".

Skyler only lasted 4 days on his trial period at his new home, confirming our suspicions of him being a
"MaMa's Boy"
He was quickly shipped to West Newton to live with old man "Gator" for a while. We'll see how a bit of trail riding will toughen him up?

Skyler has come home from his vacation with Gator. We had hoped to get him right back to work but the weather has put a damper on it. Supposed to be warming this week so we'll see what happens.

Magic has taken his place for some living away from home therapy at Terri & Ed's Ranchero.
